Phillip has joined the faculty as Assistant Professor in pediatric critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he also serves as Medical Director of the Pediatric Sedation Service. He completed his pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a 2017 US-Ireland Alliance Scholar who studied Global Health at Trinity College Dublin. After majoring in African Studies as an undergrad at Yale, he spent some time on a pediatric cancer ward in Tanzania run by an Irish doctor, Trish Scanlan. Her mentorship led him to pursue medical school and forge a path in global health work. Phillip obtained his undergraduate degree from Yale.
